E-Town Capital attends SEMICON China 2019
Beijing E-Town International Investment and Development Co (known as E-Town Capital) recently attended SEMICON China 2019, the world's largest and most influential trade show for the semiconductor industry.
As one of the regions with the highest concentration and the most advanced technology level in the national integrated circuit industry, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA for short) has formed a complete integrated circuit industrial chain including designing, manufacturing, packaging, and testing equipment, components, and materials, with SMIC and NAURA as the leading companies.
Its industrial scale accounts for half of the scale of Beijing's integrated circuit industry, and it is the first to build a 12-inch integrated circuit wafer production line in China.
In 2018, the next generation information technology industry represented by integrated circuits in the BDA realized an industrial output value of 85.17 billion yuan ($12.69 billion), a year-on-year growth of 18.3 percent.
Established in the BDA, E-Town Capital is a State-owned investment and financing company with a mission to promote industrial upgrading and technological innovation in the BDA.
BDA-based enterprises in the semiconductor industry including Beijing Yandong Microelectronics Co, CHIPONE, Beijing RSLaser, and ISSI also attended the gathering that took place in Shanghai from March 20 to 22.
E-Town Capital practices long-term strategic investment and supports key enterprises in the semiconductor industry. By the end of 2018, E-Town Capital had set up a total of 15 funds worth 170 billion yuan in the semiconductor industry.
In addition to attending the exhibition, company representatives were invited to take part in an industry innovation investment forum held on March 21, which discussed the future direction of the integrated circuit (IC) industry. Liang Sheng, a leading BDA official presided over the forum.
